Kim Delaney, an American actress best known as detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series for which she received the Emmy Award. Kim Delaney has been renowned as the character Detective Diane Russell on ABC's series NYPD Blue. Also, she was a part of the drama show All My Children Philly, CSI: Miami, and Army Wives. Delaney was the only child of her mother who was a homemaker and an executive in the United Auto Workers. Delaney was a child in the company of four brothers. When she was a kid, Delaney dreamed about becoming a reporter for the court. Her modeling career began in highschool and eventually gained commercial opportunities when she relocated from the south of England to New York. Her first film role was as a teenage innocent on All My Children, a soap opera from 1981. Delaney an actress in her early years who was in her 20s, appeared in numerous TV shows and dramas. Similar to her profession but her personal life hasn't been easy or prosperous. The skilled actor had to battle alcoholism, as well as two marriages that failed. Her custody was taken away from her son in 2005.
